Local Gymnastics School PLACES 1ST on BEAM at States

The Gymdawgs of Extreme Gymnastics in Stafford Township combined for 38, Top-9 Individual Awards, including 9 State Championships won at the 2019 Jersey Optional Gymnastics Association’s Level 1-6 Gymnastics Championships this past competition season.

Team Title

Their Level 5 Team captured the 1ST Place Team Award on Balance Beam while finishing up 3RD overall, making it 14 of the last 15 years that Extreme has had a Team finish Top-10 All-Around in the state.

Top Champs

Taking home 2 State Titles apiece, Level 5 athletes Kirsten Revaitis and Keira Reilly claimed 1sts on Vault, Floor, Beam, and in the All-Around respectfully. Kirsten’s winning Vault was a Personal Best for her and was the highlight amongst a weekend where she placed Top-3 in all 5 categories. Keira had Career Bests in her All-Around, scoring a 32.925 and on Balance Beam, where she “stuck” that event for the 7th consecutive meet this season!

More 1sts

Level 1’s Hailey Klimas, fresh off of her school-record 9.9 Floor score in her last competition, continued that momentum by winning the Floor Exercise title at States with her 8th straight performance there where she scored a 9.0 or higher.

Hit Repeat

Matching Kirsten as a returning State Champion from last season Shae-lyn Guido and Kaci Zoladz took home 1st Place Medals too; with Kaci winning the Uneven Bars title and Shae-Lyn now achieving back-to-back years of being the Balance Beam State Champ.

Young 1st Timers

Haley Shrader and Carly Manna won Championships in their opening year of competition as Level 6s; as Haley won hers on Beam with a “stuck” routine while Carly, the Gymdawgs’ youngest gymnast at 8 years old took home the 1st Place medal on Floor.

Noteworthy for the above athletes, is the fact that all of them started in toddler, Preschool, or beginner classes at Extreme Gymnastics and they worked their way up thru the processes to beg State Champions today. The combined Individual Championships won by the Dawgs this year gives Head Coach and Owner, Kim Lisowski and her staff the honor of now having coached 126 State Title Holders during their JOGA tenure.

Just missed

Several gymnasts had 2nd Place finishes, just missing out on a Championship by only fractions,  Level 2 Ryanna Kennedy’s coming on Uneven Bars, and Level 5 girls, Kira Skiedzielewski and Ryleigh Tietjen placing 2nds on Vault and Beam respectively, while newby Paige Luyber was 2nd on Floor.

Combined highlights

Eva Pollak, Kailey Triant, Kylie Bosland, Keira Jones, Brielle Platt, and Adrianna Zitzner, together had 17, Top-10 finishes and helped round out the Team efforts where all 17 gymnasts contributed to the overall success of State Championship weekends.
