Extreme Gymnastics kept their postseason successes going as they added 10 more Individual State Champions at the annual Jersey Optional Gymnastics Association Level 1-4 and Level 5-6 State Championships this year; and giving Kim Lisowski and her staff the honor of now having coached 108 individual State Title winners!

The Gymdawgs have been one of the most consistent clubs in these State Finales, with 12 of 13 years having a TOP-10 Ranked Team in NJ after this year where Extreme had a 4TH, a 5TH, and 2, 6TH Place Team Awards from their qualifying Levels.

The J.O.G.A. Championships, now in its 18th season, saw Extreme have 43 combined TOP 5 Individual Medals amongst the almost 1000 athletes competing during the 2 day events in February and April.

Back on the podium
AUTUMN SHACKLETON

GABBY CONFORTI wound up as this year’s Floor Champion, and Gabby has now won State titles 4 times during her gymnastics career!
MASIN MAUGERI and JORDYN HAMLIN both won State Championships last season and both did it again this year, with Masin going 1ST on Vault and Floor while Jordyn placed 1ST in Floor Exercise and also in her All-Around.

Newby Champs
HANNAH RUSSO

Bidding adieu
Extreme had the privilege of coaching 3 High School Gymnastics MVPS in this past year as senior ASHLEY HEMENWAY from Southern, KYLIE PICARO from Barnegat, and LIZZY KARU from Toms River North, all earned the top spots at their respective schools. Ashley finished up her Gymdawg career in fine fashion, just missing out on a Floor Title by only tenths. She will now be moving on to Division 1 Vanderbilt, while Extreme has their 2 Top Scorers in Lizzy and Kylie returning for another year. Lizzy ended this season with a Career High on Floor.

Gymdawg top Scorer and a new school record KYLIE totaled a 36.45 All-Around for the event and was Extreme’s highest scorer in the finals. Kylie also set a new Extreme Gymnastics, high-score record with her Balance Beam performance, where she totaled a 9.6 with her “stuck” routine on that apparatus; the 6th consecutive meet this season where she hit her beam!

Other gymnasts highlights and contributing to the Team awards, along with 79 total individual medals, plus a combined 18 Personal Bests were: ALI ENGLISH who topped a 9+ on Vault for the 4th time this season, GABBY DEO, Placing 2ND on Vault and had a Career High in her AllAround, ERIN ALEGRE with a Personal Best on Beam and a “stuck” event, HAILEY KLIMAS who just missed on a championship by 10ths with her Floor routine, EVA POLLAK, having a pair of Career Bests in her All-Around and on Balance Beam with a “stuck” routine there, KAYLA MURDOCK, who Placed 2ND on Floor with a Personal High score on that exercise, MYA POLLAK with a Career Best with her Floor routine which placed her 3RD MIKAYLA RUA who finished TOP 10 in 3 different events, LIZ RUSSO who had a Personal Best on Uneven Bars, KAILEY TRIANT with a 2ND Place medal on Vault, DELANEY MOORE who also “stuck” Beam and had a Career High score on that apparatus, and VIVIAN MUZZILLO, with a Personal Best on Beam and finishing her season with 5 straight “stuck” routines.
